Description

Political Theory: State, Power, and Social Transformation springs from that noble inquietude wherein power is judged by justice and authority by conscience. It surveys politics as structure and struggle, reading institutions by the interests they guard and— through the lens of Marxism—conceives the state as a historical form shaped by class and material force. From Thomas Hobbes and John Locke to Karl Marx and Mahatma Gandhi, and through subaltern and post-modern dissent, it traces the enduring contest of sovereignty, liberty, and rights. Thus the state appears not as monolith but as a living arena of political economy—an invitation to question power and re-imagine justice.
