Dr. A.S. Bisht earned his doctoral degree from HNB Garhwal University Srinagar Garhwal Uttarakhand. Presently working as Assistant Professor in VCSG Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand India. Dr. Bisht possesses extensive expertise in the Plant Ecology, Taxonomy, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Natural Resource Management and Biodiversity Conservation. He has made significant contributions to the realm of RET Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Species, evident in his extensive body of work, which includes the publication of more than 50 original research and review papers, 10 book chapters and 3 books. He had completed 04 research projects as Investigator and Research Team member in Sate Govt. and ICAR funded projects. As an academic mentor, Dr. Bisht currently guided thirty-six master’s students toward the completion of their degrees. His scholarly impact is underscored by the widespread recognition of his work, with more than 450 citations and h-index of 12 according to Google Scholar. Dr Bisht actively engaged in germplasm collection, identification, characterization, conservation and sustainable utilization of medicinal and aromatic plants through propagation, elite selection and yield improvement.
