Description

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a revolutionary solid-state joining process that creates high-quality joints without melting the base materials. FSW has progressed from a laboratory innovation to a widely accepted industrial technology. The book explains both the fundamental principles and recent advancements in FSW. It analyzes key aspects such as heat generation, material flow, and tool–workpiece interaction. Detailed discussion of micro-structural evolution and mechanical performance is provided. Illustrative diagrams and case studies connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. Emphasis is placed on experimental methodology and critical interpretation of research data. The book serves as both a comprehensive reference and an inspiration for future research and innovation.
