Author Sahanawaz Hussain highlights all the culture of different district of West Bengal starting from North Bengal to South Bengal. West Bengal boasts a rich literary and cultural heritage with evidenced by authors like Rabindranath Tagore, folk music like Baul, Gambhira as well as Najrul Geeti, Rabindra Sangeet. West Bengal is the home of a thriving cinema industry dubbed “Tollywood”. Throughout the year many festivals are celebrated in Bengal.
The Author
Mr. Sahanawaz Hussain, an Indian painter and innovator. Since a young age, he displayed a profound creativity that later shaped his distinctive style of painting. Mr. Hussain’s journey as a painter is marked by his unique philosophy and the introduction of Nawazi Painting, a novel form of modern visual art, which he introduced in 2019. Mr. Hussain did his higher education in Geography from Krishnath College, Kalyani University. Through this book he highlights the cultural trends of west Bengal. In the book, the cultural ethics of different district of West Bengal are highlighted.
NAWAZI PAINTING In 2019, Sahanawaz Hussain introduced Nawazi Painting, a groundbreaking form of modern visual art that originated from Murshidabad, West Bengal. The term “Nawazi” is derived from his own name, signifying a personal connection to this innovative art style. Nawazi paintings are known for their vibrant colors, symbolizing beauty, love, and energy. Nawazi paintings are created on various surfaces, including walls, canvas, paper, clay pots, wooden crafts, bamboo crafts, and jute bags, all using acrylic as the medium. Sahanawaz’s unique art form can be traced back to geometric abstract expressionism, highlighting the influence of geometric art on his creations. Sahanawaz Hussain’s Nawazi paintings gained widespread acclaim in the art community, earning him recognition in various prestigious art exhibitions and galleries. Some notable exhibitions where his work was showcased include the Bombay Art Society 2021 and ICCR Kolkata’s Kajrai Art. His contributions to the world of art were documented in the book “Drawings and Paintings in Fine Art”.
